to Meetings:
Munster Community Center, Munster, Indiana:
The Social Center is located in Community Park, on Lions Club Drive, which
can be accessed from Calumet Ave. either south of St. Thomas More Church
or south of the Boy Scout Council Office.
Visitors
We encourage all members to bring guests. Visitors are welcome to attend
two meetings to see if they are interested in becoming a member, however,
only members may sign up for educational offerings. Some weekend workshops
and lectures are open to nonmembers, although fees are generally higher.

The annual fee of
$45.00 includes your
membership of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. (EGA), the regional
group, and the local chapter. The
year is for twelve months from the time of joining.
Members receive their first membership card from the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.and Needle
Arts Magazine. This beautiful
magazine with information about needlework techniques, history of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.,
course offerings, information about chapters in the U.S. and well-known
needle artisan, is issued four times a year.
The Chapter Newsletter, Flying Fingers,
is issued every other month and is distributed at the meeting.
Members who are not present will receive it in the mail.
Flying Fingers announces and has information for the various
demonstrations and classes available to chapter members.
The Newsletter also announces regional needlework events sponsored
by other chapters or state associations of
the
Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.
The chapter has a number of outreach
programs that have included instructions to children, preparation of
needlework samplers for a local medical center, library and the Community
Center. Participation in
these projects is voluntary.
We hope you will enjoy our membership
and the goals of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. which are to preserve our national needlework
heritage by fostering high standards of needlework arts.
